The 1.1 million people now working in the UK's gig economy provide a new and flexible source of labour for growing businesses. Several well-known companies have already used these workers to fuel their success and it's not all about driving and delivery services – 59% do professional, administrative or creative tasks. Many choose to giive up the security and benefits of a full-time job for the flexibility and independence they can enjoy as gig workers.
